The clear plastic piece appears to be loose—there are tab holes near the front where it connects the green plastic. I did, however, try to carefully remove the front section of the green plastic. There is no mechanical difference between the Bissell Little Green versions 1400B and 1400M. The only difference is in the color scheme. The 1400M has a darker green color.
